I heard it is normal for older foliage to dry and drop. I am just confused about the drooping behaviour of new leaves. They are not as erect as the older ones.
The photo below is a type of Dracaena marginata that has dark green leaves with red edges; notice the bare stems where the leaves have dropped as the plant has grown taller.
